Ron Tuck has worked in education and training for 30 years. Following a period as an FE college teacher, he joined HM Inspectorate of Schools. As HM Chief Inspector of Schools (14 - 18) he led the process of policy development and implementation to reform school and vocational qualifications (Higher Still).

He was Chief Executive of the Scottish Qualifications Authority from 1997 to 2000. Currently, he is a Director of Rocket Learning, Chief Inspector for the British Accreditation Council, and an independent educational consultant working in South Africa, Turkey, and Serbia... as well as more exotic locations such as Kirkcaldy...
